Expected Topics of Discussion
A new workshop has been developed to teach the basics of Web page accessibility. It is tailored to the needs and policies at SIUC. With the coming implementation of campus Web page Accessibility standards, its important for all offices to have someone up-to-date in this matter.
Topics will include:
- The importance of Web accessibility
- An overview of assistive technology
- How to assess the accessibility of your existing pages using Bobby
- Federal Section 508 policy as it applies to Web pages
- How to repair accessibility issues using A-Prompt
This 50 minute workshop will be offered on:
- Tuesday October 12th
- Monday October 25th
- Wednesday November 10th
- Wednesday January 26th, 2005
