Customer Benefits
The Cabondale Division of Rehabilitation Services covers Jackson and Perry counties. DRS can assist persons with disabilities in many ways.
- May pay for medical services to assist individuals with disabilities in maintaining employment or seeking employment.
- Sponsor training and educational programs to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining employment.
- Work with employers and businesses to provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
- Benefits planning services to assist individuals who receive SSI or SSDI and are interested in working.
Staff will meet with each person to make an individual eligibility determination. Factors such as insurance, income, health and employment goals are all taken into consiteration.
Please tell your patients/constituents/friends about us. We can open up a whole new world to persons with disabilities as we provide invaluable information on resources and services.

Employer Benefits
The dividion of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) Vocational Rehabilitation program is an employment program intended to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and manintaining employment. The Cocational rehabilitation program benefits employers in many ways.
- Employers receive screened, qualified applicants who have the skills and qualities that match employer's needs.
- Employers receive no cost follow-up services to provide support services that your new employee may need to succeed.
- Employers may be reimbursed for a portion of their new employee's wages during an evaluation or training period.
- Employers will receive information from a DRS Rehabilitation Coundelor regarding an available tax credit.
- Employers receive free information regarding accessibility and accommodations requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
DRS values Illinois Employers as our partners and offers a variety of free, individualized placement services that bring employers and qualifies employees together.
